Hi everyone, I am Hanzhi! My expertise sits at the intersection of urban planning, landscape design, and geo-data analysis. My research and practice revolve around two core pillars: urban climate change mitigation and adaptation, alongside the human-land relationship. Over the past few years, my projects have ranged from monitoring water quality and GHGs emissions in constructed wetlands to developing urban flash flood prediction models. Most recently, I collaborated with AliCloud to extract farmland boundaries utilizing SAM.

Beyond my academic work, I am passionate about community engagement. I frequently guide residents across different age groups in co-designing healing gardens, using 3D mock-ups informed by the five-sense theory. When I am off duty, you can usually find me exploring museums or listening to rock music. Ultimately, I love bridging the gap between complex environmental technology and everyday neighborhood life!
